Youth Report …
Attendance is climbing in
Youth Ministry programs.
Youth Sunday on April 20th was a big success and the soup and
sandwich luncheon was well attended.
EBS Childcare
Report …
EBS has had a busy spring and summer 2008.
Late spring saw an addition of a donated Little Tykes playground set and a new
computer for the office. Following May's Celebrate EBS Week and
graduation, the staff has been busy readying the facility for the fall with
classroom cleaning, reorganizing and updating. Free furniture was
obtained from Warren
County High
School and the staff is in the process of
cleaning and incorporating the pieces. The Duck Room has been painted and
rubber matting for flooring has been laid, thanks to the Trustees generosity
and church member's support. A much-needed split 'dutch' door
was installed in the baby room and doors on the second floor are in need of the
dutch door
installation. Sara Affleck donated money to purchase a balancing
alligator that will be installed by fall. The children continue to thrive and
have been enjoying summer camp theme weeks where learning is centered on fun
summer activities. Preschool registration is underway and going strong, the
office staff has completed an audit and system upgrade and is working on
updating the handbook/policies/procedures.
